Dreamforce 2026 and the Agentic Enterprise: Giving Salesforce Eyes in the Real World

Dreamforce has always been a good place to see where Salesforce believes enterprise technology is heading next and in 2026, that direction is becoming increasingly clear.

Salesforce is moving beyond the idea of CRM as a system people simply log into, search, update, and automate. Its vision of the Agentic Enterprise is one where people and AI agents work together across trusted data, business processes, Slack, applications, APIs, and increasingly autonomous workflows.

Dreamforce 2026, taking place September 15–17 in San Francisco, is being positioned around exactly that idea: Experience the Agentic Enterprise. But there is another side to the Agentic Enterprise that deserves attention.

AI can reason over a service record. An agent can launch an automation. Data 360 can provide trusted context. Salesforce can expose business capabilities to agents and external experiences.

But first, Salesforce needs to know what is actually happening.

  • What does that damaged machine look like?
  • Was the safety equipment installed correctly?
  • What is on the retail shelf?
  • What condition is the property in?
  • What evidence did the customer provide with an insurance claim?

Much of the most valuable business context still originates outside a database. The Agentic Enterprise needs eyes in the real world, and that is where visual workflows become particularly interesting.

1. Dreamforce 2026: Salesforce’s next chapter

Even before Dreamforce begins, Salesforce has been releasing a series of announcements that point in the same direction.

Recent developments include the expansion of Headless 360, the announcement of Claudeforce through Salesforce’s expanded collaboration with Anthropic, continued investment in Agentforce, and the upcoming Winter ’27 release.

Together, these announcements suggest something bigger than another AI feature cycle. Salesforce is gradually changing the role of the platform itself.

Historically, Salesforce brought customer information, processes, and automation into one system. The next step is making those same trusted capabilities available to humans and agents wherever the work happens.

For Salesforce customers, that changes an important question. Instead of asking only:

“What can we automate?”

Organizations increasingly need to ask:

“What context does an agent need to understand the situation well enough to take the right action?”

That distinction matters. An agent can only make useful decisions when it has reliable business data, the right permissions, relevant operational context, and a clear understanding of what is happening. And in many industries, some of the most important context does not originate inside Salesforce at all.

2. From CRM to the Agentic Enterprise

Agentforce sits at the center of this transition. Salesforce’s direction is increasingly moving beyond agents that simply answer questions or help employees complete individual tasks.

The broader ambition is agents capable of participating in larger business processes: resolving service cases, scheduling appointments, supporting industry-specific processes, coordinating workflows, and potentially helping move work from one stage to the next.

Operationally, that means companies can start thinking about complete workflows rather than isolated prompts. An AI agent should not simply tell a field service manager that an asset may require attention.

The more valuable workflow is one where the agent can understand the issue, review relevant customer and equipment information, determine what should happen next, and help initiate the appropriate follow-up.

That requires trusted data. And this is where Data 360 becomes increasingly important.

Agents need reliable enterprise context rather than disconnected fragments of information. Customer data, asset information, operational history, permissions, business rules, and other information need to work together, so AI can reason within the appropriate business context.

At the same time, Slack is becoming another important surface for the Agentic Enterprise.

Salesforce is increasingly bringing CRM information, collaboration, agents, and business actions closer to the environments where employees already work. Instead of constantly switching between systems, users can interact with information and workflows more naturally through conversational experiences.

Then there is Claudeforce

Salesforce’s expanded collaboration with Anthropic is another indication that the Salesforce AI ecosystem is becoming more open. Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, actions, and governance can increasingly participate in experiences powered by different AI models and interfaces.

The significance goes beyond one AI model. It suggests a future where enterprises may operate with multiple specialized agents, AI models, applications, and user experiences rather than relying on a single universal assistant.

Headless 360 reinforces the same direction. By making Salesforce capabilities more accessible through APIs, MCP-based capabilities, reusable skills, and other interfaces, Salesforce is making it easier for authorized agents and external experiences to interact with enterprise functionality without requiring every interaction to happen through a traditional Salesforce screen.

For architects and digital transformation teams, the operational message is important:

The interface is becoming less important. Context, governance, interoperability, and business capabilities are becoming more important.

3. AI still needs real-world context

That brings us to a practical challenge. A significant percentage of operational information does not start in Salesforce, but rather:

  • Beside a machine.
  • Inside a hotel room.
  • At a construction site.
  • In front of a supermarket shelf.
  • Inside a customer’s damaged vehicle.
  • On a technician’s mobile device.

Consider Field Service. An agent might already have access to an Asset, Work Order, maintenance history, warranty information, parts inventory, and service procedures.

But what if the most important information is a crack visible on the equipment?

What if the technician discovers corrosion, an incorrect installation, missing safety equipment, or physical damage? What if determining the next action requires both the technician’s inspection answers and photographic evidence?

The database tells part of the story. The physical world tells the rest.

The same principle applies across industries.

  • An insurance workflow can use AI to analyze a claim, but it first needs reliable evidence from the policyholder or adjuster.
  • A retail organization can use AI to analyze merchandising execution and compliance, but it needs images showing shelves, displays, products, promotional materials, and real store conditions.
  • A facilities team can automate maintenance follow-up, but it needs inspection findings, photographs, documents, and observations collected inside buildings.
  • A manufacturing organization can automate quality and maintenance processes, but it needs accurate information about equipment, installations, defects, components, and conditions on the factory floor.

This is why better AI also increases the importance of better capture. AI does not remove the need for collecting information from the field. It makes that information more valuable.

4. Giving Salesforce eyes in the real world

This is where SharinPix fits naturally into the evolving Salesforce ecosystem. SharinPix helps organizations connect physical-world observations with Salesforce. Users can capture photos and other visual elements can and associate them with Salesforce records.

SharinPix Forms can collect structured answers alongside images, documents, signatures, inspection information, and other field data. Our mobile capabilities allow field teams to complete these workflows where the work actually happens, including situations where connectivity may be limited and offline capabilities are required.

Visual workflows can be connected with Salesforce records and automation so that what users observe in the field becomes part of the broader business process.

Instead of treating an image as an isolated attachment, organizations can combine visual evidence with the Salesforce context around it.

  • Who captured it?
  • What Asset does it belong to?
  • Which inspection produced it?
  • What questions were answered?
  • Which Work Order, Case, customer, location, property, claim, or business process does it relate to?

That relationship matters enormously for AI because a photo by itself is pixels. A photo connected to an Asset, inspection result, technician, timestamp, customer record, and business workflow becomes enterprise context

Through Salesforce-native integrations and automation, SharinPix can help organizations bring photos, Forms, documents, field observations, and other real-world information into the Salesforce processes they already use.

We can think of that as giving Salesforce Eyes in the real world.

5. What we’re excited to see at Dreamforce

That brings us to what the SharinPix team is excited about at Dreamforce. We are watching how Salesforce continues to develop Agentforce, multimodal AI, Data 360, automation, mobile experiences, industry solutions, Slack, and open interoperability

We are particularly interested in how agents evolve from answering questions toward participating in increasingly complete business workflows. Here is what we are watching:

  • Salesforce continues to make trusted enterprise data accessible to AI.
  • The evolution of MCP-based capabilities and Headless 360, which could make enterprise functionality more accessible across a wider range of agents and digital experiences.
  • Salesforce’s growing AI ecosystem, including partnerships such as Claudeforce and the expanded collaboration with Anthropic.
  • How Salesforce continues to improve experiences for employees working outside the traditional desktop CRM environment.

For SharinPix, these developments create interesting possibilities. Not because every newly announced Salesforce capability automatically integrates with SharinPix. But because they make trusted business context increasingly valuable

The better Salesforce becomes at understanding, reasoning, and acting, the more important it becomes to capture what is happening in stores, buildings, factories, vehicles, customer locations, and the field.

That is where visual information plays an important role.

6. The next generation of Salesforce workflows is visual, connected, and agentic

The future of Salesforce will not simply be an AI agent reading CRM records. It will be people and agents working together with: Richer context, Structured data, Conversations, Documents, Business rules, Automation, and information captured from the physical world.

That is why we believe visual workflows have an important role to play in the Agentic Enterprise.

SharinPix can help organizations connect what people see in the real world with what Salesforce knows about the business

  • Capture the situation.
  • Give it context.
  • Make it understandable.
  • Then allow people, automation, and increasingly intelligent agents to determine what should happen next.

Capture → Understand → Decide → Act.

That is the direction we are excited about as Dreamforce 2026 approaches.

And if you are heading to Dreamforce this year, there is one place where you definitely will not get a: 404: SharinPix not found.
